2 Week Notice

Honestly, I have been counting the days til I could give my two weeks notice at work. The main reason was because I NEED to relax before the baby comes. Maybe my baby boy will come early. Maybe he'll be late. BUT, any relaxation will be nice. 

So I gave my two weeks notice on December 16th. I was planning to work til December 30 (two weeks, right?) but my boss said today would be my last day. Woohoo!!

I can relax and enjoy the last few weeks of my pregnancy :)

9 Weeks Left

I have kinda been a slacker on this whole blogging thing. Man life has jus been so busy and crazy that when I do have a minute to relax all I wanna do is sleep and do nothing ha! I wanted to get my thoughts out before I forget regarding today's post: 9 Weeks Left


I am officially 31 weeks pregnant. It is so crazy to think, we only have 9 weeks left til out lil bundle of joy comes home. That's jus a lil over 2 months. I find it hard to believe how fast time has gone by. When we first found out we were pregnant, I thought "9 months is gonna be so LONG!" and it was at first - the morning sickness definitely dragged on. But as soon as the phase started being a thing in the past and things started coming together, I look back and think "Wow, time has gone by fast!" And now, there's only 9 weeks left! Single digits! I guess I'm just so excited to meet my lil guy!!

Father of My Child

He is a son. He's a brother. A friend. A lover. And by January 29-ish he will be a father. I know without a doubt in my mind that Billy will be an AWESOME daddy to our baby boy. Oh! I'm jus so excited for my little one to come home. Can these last 5 months PAAHHLEASE go faster?!? :)

Hair cut!!!

Aku finally cut a hair cut!! We have been thinking about shaving him from the longest time, especially now that it was getting a lil too long for comfort lol. If it was up to me, I would have taken him right after our first conversation, but no Billy was the one holding us up. He has never shave Aku so he was afraid that he wouldn't be "as cute" lol. NERD!

I think he looks super different!! But he's still Aku and you know, hair ALWAYS grows back ;)

Guatemala

Guatemala was beautiful. I have never seen so much green or rain in my entire life! I had such a great time and wanted to go straight back when I came back lol There were times where my morning sickness got the best of me so I was moody and annoyed and hot and ready to KILL someone but we all survived ;)

My parents basically took us EVERYWHERE!! We visited so many different places - Antigua, Panajachel, Lomas del Norte, Ciudad de Guatemala (Guatemala City Temple) Puerto de San Jose, Rio Dulce, Flores, Tikal, Palencia. My two favorite places was Puerto de San Jose and Flores. I told my mom that I HATED Tikal with a passion! It was jus way freakin hot so I didn't enjoy it much. We had hiked for like 4 hours, covering like 2/3 of the park. AND my mom made us wear jeans!! You can imagine my frustrations. Billy was trying to help me and make sure I was doing ok... ya, um, poor guy. Let's jus say I apologized after my cold shower lol

I loved our vacation. I am so glad that I finally got to visit my country's culture and the fact that I was able to share it with Billy and my family was the best part. Hopefully when our kids are older we can take them to visit Guatemala. Or they can visit us in our lake house during retirement ;)

As of today, I am 16 weeks aka 4 months along my pregnancy. It has definitely been an adventure, oh, lemme explain. . .

Before we officially found out (above picture is the official "you're pregnant!" ;), I felt really weird that week. I kept sneezing and my stomach jus felt like someone was pinching me. So I told Billy, "Either I am pregnant or I'm getting a cold." I asked if we could take a pregnancy test, hoping I didn't get his hopes up. And there you have it, after 8 months of trying, we were on our way to becoming parents!

At week 6, my morning sickness began. Oh boy, was it awful. I felt like I honestly couldn't eat anything without throwing up. AND! I couldn't eat the same thing twice. Dang body was being so picky!! As of now, I am starting to feel better... but KNOCK ON WOOD!!


Basically, my days consist of sleeping 8 hours a day - with an occasional one hr nap, then eating breakfast, snack, another snack, lunch, snack, one more snack, dinner, and yes, another snack. My goal is to only gain 25 pounds during this pregnancy by trying really hard to eat healthy foods :) I feel like I am CONSTANTLY eating something. This co-worker asked me the other day if a baby was inside my "pregnant belly" I told her "nope, there's no baby, ONLY FOOD!" lol I thought I was funny. Last time I checked (about a week ago) I have gained like 5 lbs. So, I'm pretty happy about that!!

I have a feeling that we are having a boy and I hope I am right cuz we dont have a name for a girl lol We did have one, but then a couple of family members used our name on their cat. Of course they wouldn't have known we liked that name for our future daughter... but, Billy and I are still a lil bitter. haha Anywho, we should find out the gender at the end of the month! I'm pretty excited and Billy jus wants to know already ;)

Oh! We are due January 29, 2012 :D
