Park City

A friend from work, Keiko, and her husband, Nate, invited Bill and I to their stress free weekend in Park City. It definitely was a fun weekend.

First: we checked in the Park City Peaks
Hotel
to admire the KING size bed

Second: we ate at Ruby Tuedays where we witnessed a horrible waitor and found out that Keiko eats too much salad lol

Third: we headed to Redstone Cinema to watch
Madagascar: escape 2 africa, which ended the day

Fourth: Woke up with enough to get ready and check out,
then searched for breakfast as we were all straving

Fifth: Shopped in the Outlet stores, saw Dolly's Bookstore, visited the Furburbia Animal Shelter,
and ate yummy pretzels

It may sound like we didn't do much this weekend and that's absolutely right! We enjoyed the weekend. We relaxed all weekend. We shopped all weekend. And we had fun ALL weekend. I really enjoyed my weekend and I can wait for my weekends to come: this weekend Twilight!!! and next weekend St George. I'm excited!!

Party like a Rockstar!

My family and Billy's family came over last weekend for the Shorts Traditional pie party. What is a pie party?? Well its when you eat pie for dinner and pie for dessert. Above is only 4 of the pies we tasted. We also had Blueberry pie, Coconut cream pie. It was delicious!!

After everyone left, my family stayed over and played Guitar Hero. Chris and Cassie are pretty much pros compared to us. Mike doesn't know how to get star power lol. Shaed was rocking it. Manny is pretty much a medium player. And mom...well, she needs A LOT of practice haha

Watch Out For The Yellow Snow!!

The first day of snow came pretty early this year, didn't it? Totally took me by surprise this morning when I opened the door to get to work. It was a blessing that I got up super early!!

It pretty much snowed ALL day (I happened to glance out the window every hour :D ). By 11 am I was deciding whether or not to go to school. "Hmmm, driving to the U is gonna be pretty hectic..." "Billy will sure tell me a thing or two if I dont go..." "Sitting at home chillaxing with Billy will be splendid..." "I should go, what if there's a pop up quiz..."

By 1 pm, I had decided "I'll just go home do some math homework and call it square. Totally cant be a slacker if I do homework." Yes! It was settled. No school for Shahnaz today. Woohoo!! But, did I do math homework? No comment :D

When Billy and I got home, we figured there was at least 8 inches of snow (well, he figured. hehe) There was actually 7 inches of snow.

We then noticed Aku was freaking out: he needed to go potty. So we took him.

He sure loved the snow!

Do you mind?!? He's taking a poop!

And oh yeah, dont eat yellow snow!
So watch out for it!!

I'm Addicted

So a year ago, my friend Lisa asked me "Have you ever read 'Twilight?'" I said "no" and she told how awesome it was and explained the plot to me and I responded, "I dont really have time to read anything"

About 2 months ago, another friend, Leslee, handed me her copy of Twilight and said "you HAVE to read this book." I told her that I didn't have time.

It was until yesterday when someone mentioned "You wont have the time unless you make the time" That really got my attention esp since it was so true. So at exactly 10am today, i started to read the book. I could NOT put it down. It was very interested and Edward was so cute! lol So 9 hours later, I finished it. I told Billy I was done and he freaked out "Why can't you do this with your history homework?!?!?" I laughed. "Cuz History is boring." lol

Now, I am waiting (very impatiently may i add?) for book # 2 and counting down the days for the Twilight movie. Enjoy!

Happy Halloween

picture taken at the Short Halloween Party

cutest baby girl ever!

Billy and I were supposed to be Romans for Halloween (lol i almost typed Christmas haha), but pretty sure I was the only one who dressed up. And whose great idea was "Let's just be Romans"? That's right, Billy's.

So there I was, at work, just up as a Roman all by myself. People would ask me "What are you supposed to be?" Duh! isn't it obvious? I felt so stupid and I can't even explain it. Dont get me wrong, my mother-in-law did a great job sewing my costume. But it all comes down to: I didn't want to be that for Halloween. But I was pretty much forced. Maybe next year I'll get to decide what I want to be for Halloween.

But anyway, my feeling of embarrassment passed after a couple of hours and Halloween turned out to be great. Work was slow, candy was delicious, and handying out treats to lil kids was fun. lol this lil boy, prob about 3, came up to me and I asked "what do you say?" In a very high pitched voice he replied"peeeeeeaaaas" Oh man! it was sooooo tender. Kids are so cute!!

After work, Bill and I headed to Keiko's house for a Halloween hangout. It was fun we played many board games and watched "Journey to the Center of the Earth" It was good. I enjoyed it. After the movie we played Mad Gab. Holy crap! I totally and completely suck at that game. I was so humiliated. Everyone was making fun of me and I felt so stupid. I HATE THAT GAME!! But i'm determined to buy it and make myself better. Mark my words :D
